This stretch of the KCIII Coast Path begins with Sandwich Peninsula, a wild area of the coast path with views across extensive mudflats and much wildlife, particularly birds. We will enjoy some cliff top views before promenading along the level path towards Deal. We will finish by the pier in Deal, which you can choose to walk up for views out to sea, or choose to explore the pretty seaside town with its two castles and many shops and cafes.
Please bring a packed lunch, pub at the end.
Terrain: Coast path
Travel: Take 10:04 from London St Pancras (10:12 Stratford International), arr. Sandwich 11:38. Buy return to Deal.
Grading: Moderate.
