A strenuous and hilly walk linking Lewes and Seaford, taking in sections of the South Downs Way as well as quieter, lesser known paths. The route offers expansive views of the surrounding countryside and out to the sea. Total distance of about 19 miles with ascent of around 850m.
Please bring a packed lunch and plenty of water, particularly in warm weather.
Weather permitting at the end of walk, there is an opportunity for sea swimming and food and drink on the beach or at a local pub.
Travel: Take 08:54 from London Victoria (09:01 Clapham Junction; 09:10 East Croydon). Arrive Lewes at 09:56.
Buy return to Seaford.
Please meet outside the station on the platform on which you arrive. To help other passengers exit the station, please wait away from the exit barriers.
