Metropolitan Walkers is part of the Ramblers, Britain's walking charity. All welcome for 3 'taster' walks, after which please join the Ramblers - info on the Met Walkers website
A summer edition of a popular walk from the Met Walkers' winter programme. We’ll follow a stunning circular route from Haslemere into the South Downs National Park, culminating in the spectacular panorama from Black Down, the highest hill in Sussex. There will also be climbs over Stanley Common, Telegraph Hill, and more, adding up to around 800m of elevation gain.
Along the way, we’ll pass through ancient woodlands, open heathland, and charming countryside trails, soaking up the ever-changing scenery. Keep an eye out for red kites soaring overhead, and if the weather is on our side, expect sweeping views across the Weald to the North Downs and beyond. Bring a packed lunch.
