Testing hike over the South Downs to the historic city of Chichester via Chalkpit Lane, originally a stage coach route to London and a favourite hangout for highwaymen. Great views over Goodwood Racecourse and from the Trundle. 600m ascent. Pub stop for drinks only.
Please bring a packed lunch.
Travel: Take the 9.05 from London Victoria (9.12 Clapham Junction), arr Amberley 10.29.
