Up and down a slightly lesser-visited part of the North Downs Way ridge, with views to France near the start if it is clear. We'll keep up a brisk moderate pace much of the day - but will slow down when opportunities arise for foraging sloes or other natural produce along the way! (Great for flavouring Christmas gin; please bring a receptacle and take responsibility for checking you know what you're picking). Pub stop early afternoon for drinks only, and optional pub at the end (If the weather is warm, bring flipflops for a paddle in the stoney pub stream.) Bring a packed lunch.
Terrain: Woods, fields, tracks.
Travel: Take 9:04 from London Charing Cross (9:07 London Waterloo East, 09:13 London Bridge), arr. Sandling 10:36. Alternatively take 09:40 from London St Pancras (09:48 Stratford International), change at Ashford International (arr. 10:18, dep. 10:25), arr. Sandling 10:36.
Buy return to Sandling. You may require a single from Wye to Ashford International to complete the return journey.
