A quicker way to Ireland (19 miles/Strenuous)

Following the Met's recent visit to Ireland, this week we will get there a quicker way. Beginning by walking through Biggleswade common by the Rivel Ivel, we will visit Sandy RSPB. Following this, we explore the fields and forests west of Bigglewade, before arriving in the small village of Ireland, where we will have a drinks stop at the Black Horse.
We will then walk east back to Biggleswade, passing near to Shuttleworth (keep an eye out for planes landing). Optional pub at the end.
Please bring a packed lunch.
Walk will be held at moderate pace - no significant hills will be encountered.
Terrain: Riverside/lakeside paths, meadows, woods/forest
Travel: Take the 9:46 from London St Pancras (9:53 Finsbury Park) arrive in Biggleswade at 10:31. Buy return to Biggleswade.
Meet outside the West entrance to Biggleswade Station (car park entrance side).
Grading: Strenuous.
