A South London Ramble following sections of the Green Chain Walk before moving onto the Thames Path. Along the way, we’ll take in the historic Lesnes Abbey, before exploring Abbey Woods, Bostall Heath, and Oxleas Meadow. We then follow river from the Thames Barrier to historic Greenwich, where we ascend One Tree Hill, take in the flower gardens, and gaze out at panoramic views of London from the iconic Royal Observatory
Mid afternoon Lunch break at Charlton Park where there are facilities and a café.
Please bring packed lunch.
Stations along the way if you need to drop out early.
Travel: Take 10:35 from London Bridge (10:43 Greenwich) arrive 11:04 Abbey Wood. Option to also catch Elizabeth line from Liverpool Steet to Abbey Wood.
Please wait on the left hand side, outside main front entrance of Abbey Wood Station.
Walk ends at Greenwich Station.
Both start and end stations are within Oyster/contactless card zones.
