Ten Years Since NJ Perimeter Hike! Trenton-Roebling

Metrotrails: NJ, PA, NY Metropolitan Area Hiking and More!
Details
It is hard to believe that it has been TEN YEARS since I finished hiking the entire perimeter of New Jersey.
For that final hike, we gathered the largest group we ever assembled for a single hike, a whopping 88 hikers!
To celebrate this occasion, we will do ALMOST the same hike again, with a few different things added, and in opposite order!
We will meet at the Roebling NJ station on the River Line. NOTE that the clocks change during the night, so everyone will need to get up early and be ready to go!
WE WILL TAKE THE 8:35 TRAIN TO TRENTON, so everyone must be there to catch it!
Once we got off of the train, we can head up toward the Capital building, and then head south along the Delaware River.
There are fantastic pathways to walk on this route that get us right on the river.
The hike will be about 17 miles total, and unlike the first time we did it, we don't have to do the bushwhacking to stay on the waterfront.
This time, we'll be on the D&R Canal towpath for much longer than last time, and we'll also take some of the greenway path down along the road by Fieldsboro.
Toward the end, we head inland a bit and follow the all new greenway path that includes a lake park as well as the nearly forgotten Kinkora Branch of the Pennsylvania Railroad. The trail leads right back to the Delaware River at Roebling, and has been completed since the first time we hiked it.
