Hike 1700: Harrisburg Area Greenbelt and More Hike
Details
Join us for this point to point hike in the Harrisburg PA area that will finish some of the area greenbelt we hadn't done before, as well as hit some of the other things we'd been wanting to do from the past.
This will be out 1700th long day hike (15 miles) we've done!
Included in this hike will be another walk through the great PA Farm Show Complex for its last weekend! We'll spend some time there in the middle of the trip.
After we meet at the Donald R Taylor Memorial Park, on street, Brisban Street on the west side, we will shuttle with as few vehicles as possible to our start point.
The very beginning of this I am hoping for some help to knock out a piece of historic canal route I'd never done before, which we'll go over when the time comes.
We'll explore historic Fort Hunter, walk the historic Pennsylvania Canal, and see a mansion and the Everhart Covered Bridge. We continue south and pass through Wildwood Park where we'll follow the east side we'd not done before.
After that, we head south to the State Farm Show.
After spending some time there, we continue on the Capital Area Greenbelt to the Paxtang area and do a short road walk to where we met.
It should be a really great time, and a good way to celebrate so many hikes together.
