Historic Paterson…the bizarre way…

8+ mile loop hike with the following points of interest:

• Historic Lambert Castle
• Garret Mountain Reservation - with sweeping views of NYC and the surrounding area.
• Garret Rock - a lesser known spot with interesting views.
• Raceway Park - part of a system that diverted the water from the Great Falls to power local machinery way back in Ye Olde Times
• The Great Falls themselves, the largest waterfall by volume on the East Coast after Niagara
• Historic Hinchcliffe Stadium
• Westside Park, alone with Eastside, one of Paterson’s two original parks
• Pennington Park
• A few other local parks

There are a few brief uphills. If we make good time, a couple other opportunities may be explored, It not, some sites may be skipped.
