Join us for this very diverse loop hike, the next in our Wissahickon Watershed series!
This will not only cover the next bit of the Wissahickon Green Ribbon, we will also cover lots of other trails in area parks we haven't done yet.
We meet at the long parking area with the restroom across from the Hawk Watch on St Park Rd in Fort Washington State Park. From here, we'll go slightly south and follow one of the trails in that section of the park.
We will weave around and make our way along some of the trails we did not cover on our previous trip through the area heading east. We'll weave to the north side of the park, and then make our way west to the George Washington Memorial Park.
We'll do nearly a double loop in the big cemetery, and then make our way west to Harriett Wetherill Park. We'll do just about all of the trails there, then make our way south onto a little piece of Cross County Trail, followed by some back streets and community greenways in Plymouth Meeting.
We'll make our way from a neighborhood connection to Dixon Meadows Preserve and do their short trail. A final pleasant back road walk will take us to completed Wissahickon Green Ribbon Trail, which we will follow back to the start.
Distance should be about 15 miles. If needed, contact my cell at 908 343 8374
