Brandywine Hike

Join us for this point to point 15 mile hike, the next in the Brandywine Series!
This time, we'll travel between Delacy Soccer Complex in East Bradford Township and Downingtown.
We already covered some of Downingtown previously, but this time we'll cover some other municipal trails and former route of the Brandywine Trail near the beginning, as well as the end of Struble Trail, Lions Trail, and we'll trace the historic route of the Pennsylvania Railroad New Holland Branch briefly.
From here, we take some new creekside trails, and then make our way on the Brandywine Trail up to the Philadelphia and Thorndale Branch. We take another municipal trail from here south to a pleasant back road with no lines in it, and then revisit the Harmony Hill Covered Bridge.
Along this stretch, we'll follow the alternate Brandywine Trail we saw previously, out to Sugar's Bridge.
From here, the Brandywine Trail follows a pleasant back road bit down to the Natural Land Trust Stroud Preserve.
We will hike the Stroud Preserve trails that we'd not explored before, then make our way south along Brandywine Trail to Jeffers Ford.
Another brief road walk leads us to another foot path section, then a short back road to an abandoned road which will lead us down to our end point.
The only place we pass any store on this one is in Downingtown near the beginning, so everyone should come prepared with all they need!
