Schuylkill River Special Hike

Join us for this very interesting point to point hike in our Schuylkill River series! Distance will be about 15 miles and feature the Schuylkill River Trail, but also a lot of very interesting other things....
After meeting at the Schuylkill River Trail/Bartrum Trailhead on Market Street next to the Dry Wall place in Auburn PA, we will shuttle with as few vehicles as possible to the beginning.
The hike will begin covering the trail system at Kaercher Creek Park, which we've never visited before.
We'll weave around on most of their entire trail system, and then make our way through ball fields, and into downtown Hamburg.
We'll get on the Schuylkill River Trail here and mostly follow it back to Auburn area, but with some surprise side trips along the way.
One of the side trips will include locks and towpath on the Schuylkill Navigation that will be an out and back.
Most of the route will be pretty easy. The first bit will have a little bit of foot path, and one of the side trips may have some weeds, but nothing too terrible.
