Join us on this point-to-point hike, tracing historic Rail lines and other interesting and random stuff through the Northern tier of the Pocono Mountains.
We meet on the Old State Road at the trailhead for the North Pocono Rail Trail.
From here, we will head West and shuttle with his few cars as possible to our start.
from there, we will meander along some abandoned railroad beds, as well as some old turnpike routes, with only very short bits of road between.
There may be one bridge on the way those with height issues won't like.
Aside from that, the route is almost entirely clear and easy. Some might have uneven service, and only about 3 mi is improved surface.
Everyone should come prepared with everything they need because we are only passing by one location where we can refill on any food or drink.Distance is about 15 mi.
