Brandywine Valley Happy Hike
Details
join us for this lovely point-to-point hike in Chester County, Pennsylvania, featuring more of the diverse trails and back roads in the vicinity of the Brandywine Creek.
After meeting at our endpoint, Shaw's Bridge Park, we will shuttle with as few cars as possible to our beginning Point near Downingtown to begin our 15 or 16 mile hike.
The first portion of this will be on the regular Brandywine Trail, and then we'll make our way up to Harmony Hill. between Harmony Hill, Starr Farm, and a couple of other Parks, we will cover. probably about 7 miles.
we'll make our way down to a few country roads and skip a piece of the Brandywine Trail that was not maintained from a previous hike, and then headed to the Stroud Preserve.
we'll watch the miles to determine how much we do there, and then make our way south a bit more on some back roads to Shaw's Bridge.
This will probably be the last hike in our Brandywine series for the season, and will head back when the weather gets warm again.
There are no stores of any kind on this hike, so everyone should come prepared with all the food and water they need for this one.
