Ontelaunee to Reading Potpourri Hike

Join us for this very interesting point to point hike between Ontelauee Lake and Reading.
I've selected another Pennsylvania hike instead of shifting areas this time because there may be structures demolished soon that we need to see before it happens.
After meeting in Reading at the Dollar General, we will shuttle with as few vehicles as possible to our start point.
There are several trails, and some abandoned roads along the lake. Some of it is an abandoned former road that had been used prior to the creation of the lake.
We'll weave around on the trail system in an indirect route, and then make our way onto some back roads, through school ball fields, and then south onto a closed road and past an historic bridge.
We will continued from here along a few more back roads to the Muhlenberg Rail Trail. We'll take that south just about to our end point.
Distance will be about sixteen miles.
