SUNDAY LUNCH @ the RED RIVER INN & Short Circular Walk on the TOWANS

Our next Sunday lunch will be at the Red River Inn in Gwithian, Hayle. This place has been highly recommended by a few of you and their Sunday Lunch menu is a selection of Topside of Beef, Pork or Lamb with vegetarian options at £ 17.95 large and £ 9.95 small. Before this, I thought we could meet @ 11:00 at the RED RIVER INN then set off over to GODREVY CAFE for drinks and a chat before setting off on our GWITHIAN and UPTON TOWANS 2.5 mile, easy-moderate, circular walk. Just to work up a bit of an appetite. If you don't wish to come on this lovely little walk we will be sitting down to eat at 2:30.

We will walk along the vast sandy beach of Godfrey and then around the nature reserve in the sand dunes that was once the National Explosives Works where girls manufactured dynamite from nitroglycerine!

This is an easy, flat, walk, mainly on sand. Bring appropriate footwear, clothing and drinks. So:

• H&S your responsibility and if you bring along your well behaved pet (no pink alpacas especially those in stilettos)
