CHARLESTOWN to PORTHPEAN Evening Circular Walk

An evening moderate 5 mile circular walk from CHARLESTOWN to PORTHPEAN. Meeting opposite the Tallships Ice Cream hut, on the rounabout.

Setting off from CHARLESTOWN Harbour and then heading towards Higher Porthpean. Following the lanes from CHARLESTOWN along the edge of the woods to reach the church at Higher PORTHPEAN. We will then walk across the fields with panoramic views of St Austell bay to reach the coast.

The return route is along the Coast Path via PORTHPEAN beach, DUPORTH Beach and with a spectacular birds-eye view of CHARLESTOWN Harbour after passing the cliff battery.

It is advisable to always bring good walking footwear and weather appropriate clothing, although the majority of this walk is on solid paths, some of it can be muddy.

• Bring water, snacks, walking footwear and weather appropriate clothing (as muddy here and there).
