TINTAGEL to PORT ISAAC - a linear Coastal walk

Details
This is a bit of a strenuous but spectacular 9 mile/15 km linear walk. It is necessary for this walk to bring suitable walking footwear and weather appropriate clothing, this walk is on the coastal path but some of it will be muddy.
We meet at Port Issac and from here a lift share is arranged over to Tintagel. From the village we will walk down to the coast path and Tintagel Castle. We then head west following the coastal path, past the mediaeval cliff-top church of St Materiana, along the towering cliffs, past the long, sandy beaches of Trebarwith and Tregardock. As well as these spectacular views, sandy beaches and the fauna, we may well encounter the bizarre sea foam formations at Backways Cove.
Afterwards, as is the norm, we will go to the pub for refreshments, a deMooch and a chat😊
This is a strenuous walk, mainly on the coastal path. So:
- Bring water (at least 1.5 litres), snacks, walking footwear and weather appropriate clothing (as muddy here and there).
- Shorts are fine but offer no protection against tics.
- H&S is your responsibility.
- Paid up members have priority... info on joining us on home page
If possible, please car share😊
