Heligan Circular Walk... via Pentewan and Mevagissey.

Meeting at the Heligan's Kitchen from 10:30 for a drink and chat then setting off at 11:00 prompt.

This is a 7 mile circular walk. This is a fairly moderate walk, with a few hills but a lot is the along the flat cycle and canal paths.

We will walk down Heligan woods to the edge of King's woods and then follow the track next to St Austell river heading towards Pentewan. Walking through the ancient woods and marshes. On arriving at Pentewan, we will head over to the beach and then onto Mevagissey along the coastal path. There are a couple of steepish hills here but the rewards are the spectacular views of the bay and beyond to Rame Head on a good day!

Once we have had a chance to rest and a drink on the harbour at Mevagissey, we head back up the Heligan Gardens via the country paths and splendid woodlands.

Parking is available in the car park at Heligan. Bring drinks and snacks.

It is advisable to always bring good walking footwear and weather appropriate clothing, although the majority of this walk is on solid paths, some of it is along muddy paths.
