FREE Self Defense Training in the Park - Sunday Afternoon - Oct 16th

Details

Hi! Welcome! Anyone can come - don't be shy!
Looking forward to training with you!

WHAT TO WEAR
Wear casual clothes, anything is fine. Avoid a lot of jewelry, watches, etc - best remove those during training.

WHAT WE WILL DO
We can practice empty hand technique and/or analyze kata. Occasionally we also practice with weapons. It is up to what the group wants to do, but the focus is to learn real self-defense / life protection techniques that will work in real confrontations. This is what classical Okinawan karate kata is about. This is not a focus on exercise or sport. You will practice self defense.

LOCATION:
Parque México
Av México s/n, Hipódromo, Cuauhtémoc, 06100 Ciudad de México, CDMX.

MEET ON TIME AT:
Meet at the main park entrance on Av. Michoacan at the working fountain with the naked lady in front of the main plaza. You can see an image here:
https://www.excelsior.com.mx/comunidad/el-parque-mexico-el-emblema-inolvidable-de-la-ciudad/1291690#imagen-7
Generally will wait here 10-15 minutes, then move to train beside an empty fountain on the north side of the park close to intersection of Avenida Sonora and Avenida Mexico, where it is cooler and more private. MAKE SURE TO contact the organizer in advance to share your WhatsApp so our live location can be shared with you in advance. It is very difficult to meet without any way to contact each other!

COVID-19 SAFETY:
For those who are fully vaccinated, no need to wear a mask. For non-vaccinated people, I encourage you to wear a mask. Organizer will bring hand sanitizer for those who wish to use it.

FEE:
Absolutely free of charge - always!

Please RSVP if you want to attend - as our group is small right now, then if no one RSVPs the event will be cancelled. Generally we have anywhere from 3 people to 15 people train - each time is different depending on your interest!

AFTER TRAINING
If you want to join, we usually have some drinks and snacks after training - it helps us know each other and bond well. It is an Okinawan tradition!
