I am happy to announce a special edition of Open Mic shows on WEDNESDAY OCT. 12, 19 and 26!

These open mics are organized by MFA as part of the Frolick In the Face of Certain Death Opening Night Oct 8 (FrolicK in the Face of Certain Death is an interactive theatre experiential tour).

Open Mics will take place at The Bartley Building that will be turned into a HUGE HAUNTED WAREHOUSE for the month of October!

THE OPEN MIC EXPERIENCE:

Open Jam/Signup: 8pm-9pm
Open Mic - 1st half: 9pm-10:30pm
Feature band/performance: 10:30-11:00pm (Different each week - TBA soon)
Open Mic - 2nd half: 11:00pm-12:00am

2 songs (10 minute max) per sign up.
SPOTS ARE LIMITED, (15 per week)
Come early to sign up.

Instruments are available for use! You can also bring your own.

COSTUMES ARE HIGHLY ENCOURAGED

We strongly discourage drugs and alcohol consumption and art pieces with a lot of profanity at this particular gathering

TICKETS: For a full pass to the HAUNTED WAREHOUSE experience for the entire month, $30 for adults, $15 for students
or to attend our open mic without the haunted tour, $5 per night

The open mics will be hosted by Rooster Shortstuffyan & Clarity Bartleet. Two Conscious Artists and Facilitators who are involved in the spiritual/healthy living community of Toronto, and have been organizing variety of events that hold space for many walks of life, with positive intentions supporting Social Justice and Collective Healing.

This is not the typical bar-type open mic, these open mics will be held as Conscious Events with a mission to unite Artists that want to make a positive change in the world with their Art and bring awareness to certain topics that need to be addressed. We therefore wish to host an Audience that truly cares and listens to people that share. We encourage any sort of creativity with a message as performances. Let's build, create and heal together → bring your good vibes! :)
