Irene Pease will be giving what promises to be a fascinating presentation titled: Artemis II: Moon Joy!
As many reading this already know, Artemis II successfully returned a crewed exploration to the lunar vicinity, marking a historic milestone for the Artemis Program. Irene's presentation places the mission’s significance within Artemis and the broader legacy of lunar exploration, reviewing mission successes alongside the heartwarming and meme-worthy moments that captured the public's imagination.
Irene Pease earned her Bachelor’s degree in Physics at the University of Arizona. In NYC, she produced the Hayden Planetarium video blog and co-hosted Astronomy on Tap. As the Friendly Neighborhood Astronomer. She currently co-hosts outreach events in Sullivan County, teaches online astronomy courses and creates astronomy-themed wall calendars.
Prior to the presentation MHAA will conduct a club business meeting, which will start at 7:15 PM. The talk will start at 8:00 PM, but anyone who wishes to join the business meeting is welcomed.
