May 12: What's Next for Digital Health SPACs

Details
Special-purpose acquisition companies (SPACs) accounted for more than 80% of public market exits last quarter. They offer a novel way for companies to list on stockmarkets. Digital health companies were the target of 13 successful or announced SPAC mergers over the past 15 months, with 11 of these completed or set to close this year. Incredibly, the market is heating up...the median time from a SPAC's IPO to its completion of a reverse merger with a target dropped to around 7.5 months in 2020, down from a year-and-a-half in 2019.
