Eligibility: Market ready Israeli healthtech companies, with at least $5m raised in equity / grants
Program: 5 online sessions (half focused on Japan HealthTech), weekly mentoring / assignments, Israel demo day, culminating in five day Tokyo residence featuring meetings with Japanese corporates, investors and government officials
Japan Residence (March 23-27): Meeting with the following:
- 20 Japanese corporates (including at least 5 Pharmas)
- 15 Japan-based healthtech investors
- 3 relevant government agencies
Accommodations: mHealth coporate rate at 5 star Sheraton / Miyako. JPY 23,000 (double occupancy); JPY 21,000 (single occupancy

Background: The Kizna (“bond / connection” in Japanese) Japan HealthTech Accelerator© is a six-week, systematic program for ultra-high potential, market-ready, growth stage Israeli healthtech companies to achieve success in Japan. There is no cost to participate. Kizna is eligible for equity compensation tied to joint milestones.

Why: Japan is the world #3 medical device market. Despite the scope of the opportunity, Israel has a minimal presence, ranking a disappointing #40 among countries exporting to Japan. Kizna combines a structured and systematic acceleration model (Kizna Growth Framework©) with a robust network of relationships and track record securing local partnerships.

Participating Companies: Executive leadership (Founder preferred) from 10 market-ready, Israeli healthtech companies. Includes Medical Device, Pharma, BioConvergence, Digital Health, FoodTech, etc.

Kizna Growth Framework© (5 week, structured, online acceleration program, tailored to Japan market conditions, featuring 2.5 hour weekly sessions complimented by 1.5 hours of offline work)

Methodology: Hybrid online / residential; Combining theoretical frameworks with hands-on mentoring and business development.

  • Online component (5 weeks) using the proprietary Kizna Growth Framework© developed over several years with dozens of startups.
  • Weekly online workshops, supplemented with 1.5 hours of weekly offline mentoring.
  • Israel Demo Day at the conclusion of the 5 week online program.
  • Weeklong Tokyo residential experience, March 23-27
    - Optional guided tourism near Tokyo, March 21-22
  • Japan Investors Demo Day

Mentors: 40+ Tokyo-based mentors spanning finance, technology, investment, government and other key sectors. This group can provide valuable insights and introductions.
