Hiking Pontiac Lake (12ish miles, 4.5ish hours)

Hike starts at 9:45 SHARP -- so get there early!

THE PLAN:
A moderately fast paced-hike (~3ish mph) led by Tyler Jackson through the hiking, equestrian trail, and other random trails at Pontiac Lake Rec Area. There will be multiple small breaks along the way. This is one of the hillier hikes in southeast Michigan.

DOGS:
On leashes are allowed

BATHROOMS:
At the trailhead and one about halfway through the hike. (the ladder might not be open this time of year)

THE MEETING SPOT:
We are meeting at the Pontiac Lake Trail Parking, which can be a bit tricky to find. You need to enter the park from Williams Lake Road and the trailhead parking is at the end of the huge parking lot.

COSTS:
This is a state rec area so you need a Michigan Recreation Pass. If you do not have one, then it is likely a ranger will put a $19 ticket on your car -- paying that gets you the Rec Pass.
