The hike starts at 9:45 SHARP -- so get there early!
THE PLAN:
We shall hike along the equestrian trails in Brighton Rec because the horses are smart and they pick the nicest trails. The hike will done at a moderately fast pace (~3ish mph) with multiple small stops along the way.
DOGS:
on leashes are allowed
BATHROOMS:
Only at the trailhead
THE MEETING SPOT:
We are meeting at the Ponds Shelter area on the west side of Brighton Rec. This is a big cement parking lot off of Bishop Lake Road west of Chilson Rd. This is NOT the main area of Brighton Rec.
COSTS:
This is a state rec area so you need a Michigan Recreation Pass. If you do not have one, then it is likely a ranger will put a $19 ticket on your car -- paying that gets you the Rec Pass.
QUESTIONS:
Feel free to post underneath or email me directly. However, kindly note that panicked last-minute questions trying to find the meeting spot will likely not be answered. Just give yourself a few extra minutes of getting-lost-and-refound time.
See you on the trail,
Charlie
