#Opt-Outside Black Friday Hike - Yellow Trail @ Island Lake
Details
We need to burn out the turkey feast calories and skip the lines at the mall, hiking one of my favorite trails, the Yellow Trail, which is a shared MTB/hiking 6 mile loop.
We will hike in the opposite direction of the bikes and follow trail etiquette, as usual, if we see bikers approaching
Let's meet at 9:30 am by the MTB parking lot, link below
We will begin hiking promptly at 9.40 am at a moderately fast pace of 3+ miles per hour, for approx 2 hrs
Meeting location:

It's getting colder but we still need to stay hydrated, remember your water bottles, dress in layers & bring your hiking poles if you need them.
This is a Fitness Hike; the pace is 19-20 minutes per mile, which includes elevation changes and a variety of uneven terrain. Our expectation is for the entire group to maintain the leader's pace, and remain together for the duration of the hike.
Important to know:
Locations of these workout hikes are in Michigan State Parks/Recreation Areas or Metro Parks, that require daily or annual passes. Passes can be obtained from park headquarters or toll booths at park entrances.
