Hike starts at 9:45 SHARP -- so get your butt there early

Apologies... this is the second posting for this event. The first had a bug in the location that Meetup would not allow me to change.

THE PLAN:
We move both our feet forward many, many, many times through the woods and eventually get back to our cars. The hike will be done at a moderately fast pace (~3ish mph) with multiple small stops along the way. The hike will have a decent amount of (Michigan) elevation change.

NOTE:
The ground could be a bit icy. I'd recommend bringing micro spikes or similar shoes covering. I do have a couple extra that I will bring.

THE MEETING SPOT:
We are meeting on the south (near) side of the Silver Lake parking lot.

SHORTER HIKE:
There will be an easy way out around 6-8 miles. You will have to walk about 1 mile on your own but it is a straightforward path.

COSTS:
This is a state rec area so you need a Michigan Recreation Pass. If you do not have one, then it is likely a ranger will put a $19 ticket on your car -- paying that gets you the Rec Pass.

DOGS:
Allowed with leashes

BATHROOMS:
Near the trailhead (you drive by it just before you turn into the lot), but there may be none along the trail.

FURTHER QUESTIONS?:
Feel free to post underneath or message me directly. However, kindly note that panicked last-minute questions trying to find the meeting spot will likely not be answered. Just give yourself extra time and enjoy the company if you arrive early -- we are fairly nice people.

See you on the trail,
Charlie
