Hike on the Blue Trail .

Join us for Christmas Hike at Island Lake Recreation Area. Let's meet at 10;30a m and begin hiking promptly at 10:40 am. We will hike approximately 10 miles on the Blue Trail, at a moderately fast pace of about 3 mph (20 mins per mile) in less than 4 hours
Meeting Location:
We'll meet at the Trail Head parking area, near the dropped pin marked on the link below (you'll see two outhouses on the right side of the lot).

This is a Fitness Hike; the pace is approximately 20 minutes per mile, which includes elevation changes and a variety of uneven terrain.

Please be aware the Blue Trail is shared with mountain bikes, riding in the opposite direction (towards us), and be sure to bring water to drink, hiking poles if you have them, and dress accordingly for the weather!

Important to know:
A Michigan State Parks/Recreation Areas parking pass is required. Passes can be obtained at the park entrance.

The organizers of the Michigan Adventurers Club are volunteers and not professional guides. The function of the organizer is only to organize this event. Each person who signs up for and participates in an event is responsible for his or her own safety and the safety of his or her guests.
