Hike begins at 10:30 SHARP -- that means get there early
THE PLAN:
An eclectic romp through the hiking trail at Island Lake. The hike will done at a moderately fast pace (~3ish mph) will multiple small breaks along the way.
DOGS:
On leashes are allowed
BATHROOMS:
There is a bathroom at the parking area and maybe one more along the hike.
THE MEETING SPOT:
Straight after the entrance station, parking lot will be on the left. It's a big lot -- we will be on the left (west) end of the lot.
SHORTER HIKE:
At least twice we will be close enough to the parking spot where it is easy to get back.
COSTS:
This is a state rec area so you need a Michigan Recreation Pass. If you do not have one, then it is likely a ranger will put a $19 ticket on your car -- paying that gets you the Pass.
QUESTIONS/COMMENTS:
While I try my best to be a nice guy, kindly note that I likely will not respond to your very-last-minute-trying-to-find-the-location question. Just give yourself a little extra time to get lost and refound.
See you on the trail,
Charlie
