Friday hike at Brighton Rec (5-6 miles)
Details
Get your weekend started with a hike! We leave at 5:30 sharp, so arrive a few minutes early. Cell service can be spotty at the trailhead, and I won't be available for last minute questions or directions; plan accordingly!
*State recreation passport required for entry into the park*
We'll be hiking the Penosha (blue) trail at Brighton Rec starting from the trailhead parking. The trail is just over five miles in length. Pace will be around 2.5-3mph with several stops along the way. Bring water and bug spray. Hike will happen rain or shine, so bring rain gear if rain is in the forecast. Trail is shaded and goes through forests and wetlands with a few big, rolling hills. The surface is primarily dirt and sand with some roots and rocks. There is a pit toilet at the trailhead. Leashed, well-behaved dogs are welcome!

You will turn into the Bishop Lake Complex from Bishop Lake Road. Go through the booth checkpoint and take an immediate right, then a left into the parking lot. Trailhead is on the left near the pit toilet.
Important to know:
This group is about hiking and outdoor events and not a dating site. While mutually agreed to relationships are up to MAC members, unsolicited contacting of someone you've never met is not something we tolerate.
