Can anyone suggest OSX unix learning materials?

Hey guys. I'm relatively new to Mac and I can see OSX/unix is super configurable and powerful as a development tool. However, I feel a little lost sometimes, like I just don't have a good intuition about what I'm working with. When it comes to working with bash files, editing $PATH, OSX settings, etc. I end up blindly following tutorials without any real sense of what I am doing. Can anyone suggest introductory materials to get me more oriented in the OSX/unix/CLI world? I should also probably mention that I wasn't really doing anything with the shell or CLI on windows either.
