The annual satirical parade through the streets of Coconut Grove. It celebrates (and skewers!) what’s weird and wonderful about Miami and the year that was. The point of the Mango Strut is to mock 2024 events in the national media and local SoFlo silly stuff. No one and nothing is safe from parody and satire at the King Mango Strut.

The Hashers participate annually as the RUNNING OF THE BULLSHITTERS (one of the longest running contributions to the Strut) 🤣

11AM: COSTUME PREP.

***If you plan to be part of the RUNNING OF THE BULLSHITTERS please WEAR A WHITE SHIRT AND WHITE SHORTS OR PANTS! We'll have plenty of cow hats and red sashes you can borrow for the parade, but you should try to get your own red bandanna to wear.

*If you are motivated, dress up as your favorite stupid celebrity, politicians, or event.

The Rapist (Kim Levin) will be in charge of the Hasher skits, so people who want to do one should coordinate with her, especially if they want to work on any costumes beforehand

11:30ish AM: BEER VEHICLE ARRIVES We will have a rolling cooler of beer during the parade as well.

12PM: BULLSHITTERS AWAY for parade check-in at Commodore plaza by 1pm.

2PM: PARADE STARTS.
The strut route begins at the corner of Commodore Plaza and Main Highway. It turns left onto Main Highway and then turns left onto Grand Avenue at CocoWalk and turns left again at Commodore Plaza. If we are having too much fun we will go around again until we all fall down.

3:30ish PM: CIRCLE AT TBD LOCATION

HARE: Coming or Going

HASH CASH: $5 (please bring cash)

PARKING DIRECTIONS: Park at end of Royal Road which on the on the east side of Main Hwy, just south of the Ransom Everglades School located at 3575 Main Hwy. Miami, FL 33133.

ALTERNATE PARKING: If you don't want to park at the hash start on Royal Road, there is public parking at: 3500 Main Hwy Miami, FL 33133, United States.

ON AFTER: Somewhere in the Grove.

RESTROOMS: will be available at local restaurants and the public bathrooms at CocoWalk.

PROHIBITED ITEMS:

• Weapons of any kind.
• Skateboards, roller blades, bicycles, and scooters. (I did get permission for our bike powered boat).
• Unauthorized drones.
• Helium balloons.

DON'TS:

• No selling any items, name placement, or advertising is allowed in the Parade.
• No throwing of items into the crowd.
• No silly strings, confetti, glass bottles, or balloons.
• No nudity or obscenity.
• No live animals.

DO'S:

• Interact with the crowd.
• Hand out party favors.
• Have fun.
