Mandala Coloring in the Park: A Calm Space to Slow Down
Details
### What to Expect
This is a small, in-person gathering. An RSVP is required to attend, allowing us to hold the space with care and provide materials for each participant.
We’ll meet in person at David T. Kennedy Park, Coconut Grove on Saturday, January 10th, 2025 at 4:00 PM, for a slow, grounding mandala coloring experience focused on calm, presence, and interconnectedness.
This is a gentle, guided session, not a class and not therapy. You don’t need any prior experience with meditation or art.
Agenda (approx. 60 minutes):
- Short welcome and introduction to the mandala and today’s theme
- Guided breathing to settle the body and mind
- Slow mandala coloring with verbal guidance and moments of silence
- Closing reflection and gentle return
What to bring:
- A blanket or yoga mat to sit comfortably on the grass
- Water
- Optional: a small cushion if you like extra support
All mandalas and coloring materials will be provided.
What to wear:
- Comfortable clothes
- Light layers (it may get cooler as the sun sets)
How to find the group:
Kennedy Park is large, so please arrive 5–10 minutes early.
We’ll be set up in a quiet grassy area, and I’ll share a clear meeting point and visual cue (what to look for) on the day of the event.
If you feel overwhelmed, curious, or simply want to slow down and be present with others in nature, this space is for you.
We’ll move slowly.
There is nothing to fix.
Just a moment to be here—together.
