Miami Bitcoiners Meetup #18 at Heartland

Hello fellow bitcoiners!

On the heels of a highly successful event, we are happy to announce the 2nd meet-up of 2022, this time at Heartland Miami.

Agenda:
We will have a fireside chat with a very special guest, the one and only Lyn Ulbricht. Lyn is a political activist and advocate for individual freedom, privacy and criminal justice reform. She is also the mother of Ross Ulbricht, who is serving double life without parole for non-violent charges associated with his role in the Silk Road website, which was arguably the first proof of concept of Bitcoin. She will talk about her son and thousands of others trapped in similar circumstances, and most importantly, how we can help. Please see www.freeross.org for more information.

As a bonus, John Burnett will also dedicate a few minutes to give the crowd a digital privacy "Tip of the Month", where he will tell us one actionable item that everyone can do IMMEDIATELY to make our digital footprint a little harder to track by nefarious groups.

Kit Stanwood from Bitcoin Inc will be on hand to talk a little bit about the upcoming Bitcoin 2022 Conference. She will also be giving away two general admission tickets to the event. These tickets are going for $800 each, so it's an amazing giveaway. You must be present to win.

We will leave plenty of time to meet other bitcoiners, which we pretty much agree are the coolest people around. Heartland has excellent food and drinks, and a live band starts sometime after 8:00pm.

Housed beneath a gorgeous canopy of massive Bayan trees, oaks and string lights, Heartland doubles as an outdoor wood fire kitchen and music venue. Featuring nightly live music and an extensive wine list, this lovely outdoor spot offers a great atmosphere with a definite Miami tropical-casual energy.

Our purpose:
We strive to connect people interested in bitcoin. We welcome all levels of Bitcoiners, whether you are highly experienced or completely new and eager to learn. Meeting others can and will be an enriching and educational experience.

Parking:
There is a large, free parking lot available at Heartland. At the end of the night, feel free to tip the man who looks after the lot.
