On the day of the event one of our organizers can meet those who have RSVPed in the theater lobby. REMEMBER: It is recommended that attendees arrive at least an hour early (or even earlier) because theater is overbooked to ensure a full house and they would like our members to have the best chance possible to get a good seat! Plan will arrive at the venue by 6:15pm.

DO NOT email me about tickets. If you are DEFINITELY interested in attending please download tickets online accordingly. Only one ticket is permitted per person. Each ticket admits two.

The movie The Lovely Bones is based on a 2002 novel of the same name by Alice Sebold.

Here's a summary: The story of a teenage girl who, after being brutally raped and murdered, watches from heaven as her family and friends go on with their lives, while she herself comes to terms with her own death. The novel received a great deal of critical praise and became an instant bestseller. A film adaptation of the novel, directed by Peter Jackson who personally purchased the rights, is to be released in American theatres on January 15, 2010.

The novel's title stems from a line towards the end of the novel, in which Susie ponders her friends' and family's newfound strength after her death:

" These were the lovely bones that had grown around my absence: the connections ? sometimes tenuous, sometimes made at great cost, but often magnificent ? that happened after I was gone. And I began to see things in a way that let me hold the world without me in it. The events my death brought were merely the bones of a body that would become whole at some unpredictable time in the future. The price of what I came to see as this miraculous lifeless body had been my life. "

NOTE: Although screening tickets are always free, and are distributed on a first come-first serve basis, unpaid members (members who not yet paid their $5 annual dues) are not eligible for these opportunities. If you haven't paid your membership dues this year and would like tickets to this and future opportunities, you may pay dues online when you RSVP.
