Do you like firearms training and have been wanting to become a certified professional shotgun instructor?

You have an opportunity to take a shotgun instructor course approved by the Nation Rifle Association (NRA). This course focuses on shooting shotguns at moving targets (trap). You will learn about gun safety, the basics of shotguns (pump action, break/hinge action, & semi-automatic) including how to load and unload, and the basic parts; the five fundamentals of shotgun shooting, shotgun maintenance, basic stance, and the teaching and training standards of the NRA for Basic Shotgun Shooting Course.
Taught by NRA Training Counselor Kevin Perez who has multiple certifications under NRA & other organizations (Glock, Massad Ayoob, Asymmetric Solutions, etc).
Prerequisites: Candidates must have taken NRA Basics of Shotgun Shooting Course & Basic Instructor Training from NRA Instructor Pistol Shooting Course. Students will demonstrate organizational & teaching skills via participation in practical exercises, by completing an instructor certification exam, & by shooting a qualifier at Trap Range (13 out of 25 clays). Does not include trap range fee. Combo deal - get required NRA Basic Shotgun course when you sign up for this course. $425 total when you sign up for both courses.
Once you complete this course and register with the NRA you will be recognized as an NRA certified shotgun instructor. NRA instructors are provided with NRA approved classes that they can teach and are recognized by many states (including Florida) as being qualified to conduct concealed carry courses. Other benefits of being an NRA instructor include getting discounts from certain gun manufacturers and gun supply companies, and being allowed to teach others at local ranges, as well as being allowed to do more advanced training at local ranges.
