NRA Personal Protection Outside the Home Basic + Instructor Course

Do you like firearms training and have been wanting to become an advanced defensive firearms instructor?

You have an opportunity to take the NRA Personal Protection Outside the Home Instructor Course approved by the Nation Rifle Association (NRA). Taught by NRA Training Counselor Kevin Perez who has multiple certifications under NRA and other organizations (Glock, Massad Ayoob, Asymmetric Solutions, etc).

Prerequisite - Must have taken NRA Instructor Personal Protection in the Home Course (if you haven't done so already, we have an NRA Personal Protection in the Home Instructor course offered the week before this course, just contact us). This is a 30 hour course that goes beyond basic handgun knowledge & target shooting to focus on the skills & knowledge for using a firearm for protection & self defense outside the home.

Course builds upon the advanced defensive shooting skills learned in PPITH such as flash sight picture, point shooting, rapid fire, using cover & concealment, advanced shooting positions, etc, but also covers how to present pistol from concealed holster. Course does not include range fees ($20). Prerequisites: Candidates must have taken NRA Basic Pistol Shooting Course & NRA Personal Protection in the Home. Both courses taught over the course of 3 days together over Weekend Holiday. Total for both Basic and Instructor Personal Protection Outside the Home courses is $575. Once you complete this course and register with the NRA you will be recognized as an NRA Personal Protection Outsdie the Home certified instructor. This course will take you from being a basic pistol instructor to becoming an advanced defensive pistol instructor. NRA instructors are provided with NRA approved classes that they can teach and are recognized by many states (including Florida) as being qualified to conduct concealed carry courses. Other benefits of being an NRA instructor include getting discounts from certain gun manufacturers and gun supply companies, and being allowed to teach others at local ranges, as well as being allowed to do more advanced training at local ranges. This course is taught over the weekend and does have pre-requisites. Learn more below
