Online MI Python: Build for the Web with FastAPI

FastAPI is a modern, high performance, web framework for building APIs using standard Python type hints. In this talk we'll build a simple web app to look up Pokémon by type including web scraping for data, adding it to a database, creating backend APIs with Python, and deploying a simple website.

Dan Yeaw (@danyeaw) is the current organizer of Michigan Python, maintainer of the Gaphor modeling tool, and an Engineer at Ford Motor Company. At Ford, he designs complex safety-critical automotive systems using Model-Based Systems Engineering.
