Beer competition medals can be elusive, they can also "show up" when you least expect them. 2023 was a good year for St Vrain Tripple, gold. 2024 was back to some "old" roots, Oktoberfest, bronze. 2025 almost didn't happen. Say what? Well, sometimes a beer gets brewed to try a new recipe, new ingredient, new process, maybe a whim.

With the competition entry deadline approaching, and having a spot in the entry "roster" to fill, hey, what about this? Although this isn't exactly what happen, it's close, from what I was told. And next thing you now, Breakfast in Brussels is recognized with a Gold! Category/style: Old Ale or Strong Ale or Barley Wine.

I don't know how big a batch was made. I've asked, and as with any one-off beer, there's always a chance it's gone by the time we get there. Well risk takers that we are, this is your chance to take that chance. Now the rest of the usual word salad.

Every month your Left Hand beertenders select a beer to celebrate . . . celebrate with a discount! This month's beer is, I'm told, (well, not yet). Oddly, I've been there twice this month already and didn't see it posted. The usual offer, all month long enjoy: $5 Pints, $10 Growlers, & $130 Kegs. Offer valid for draft in the Tasting Room only.
