Micro Frontends Meetup - July 2023

Details

The Micro Frontends Meetup for July 2023. Join us to follow and engage in discussions around micro frontends, implementation details, frameworks, and experience reports.

For this edition we invited two guests to share their journey into micro frontends. They will talk about their specific requirements, challenges, and achievements they crossed on their road towards scalable web development.

Our first guest is Benjamin Schwendner:

Benjamin Schwendner is a Product Architect at Axinom, a renowned software company based in Fürth, Germany, focused on media and aerospace solutions. He has over 20 years of experience in the field of information and technology, and has been with Axinom since 2007.

Benjamin is responsible for defining and helping create the flagship Axinom Mosaic product, showcasing his expertise in product architecture and development. Axinom Mosaic, a cutting-edge solution, is built using micro frontends, leveraging Benjamin's extensive knowledge in frontend development, web, Android, iOS, and gaming console projects.

Our second guest is Dimitri Renault:

Dimitri Renault is the CEO and co-founder of Mekom Solution, a digital health agency that provides expert support services for Ozone, their open-source integrated health information system.

Ozone is powered by OpenMRS, an open-source medical record system built with microfrontends. In OpenMRS microfrontends help coalesce the work of multiple OpenMRS co-contributors in multiple ways such as offering seamless plugin integration, avoiding modularity issues, enabling individual development and updates for each component independently. Microfrontends also allowed to introduce an easier DX by allowing developers to work on individual microfrontends within an integrated environment, thereby simplifying onboarding for frontend developers and reducing the time to first contribution.

If you want to be a guest in a future edition (e.g., to share your experiences using micro frontends or to about your project) just get in touch with us. We are happy to receive your ideas and craft the show around your content.
