Microservices are exposed to the consumers via API Management layer as managed APIs. Often microservices are built as fine-grained units, but real world use cases require the composition of microservices and other monolithic systems. That's where the 'integration' of microservices becomes a vital factor.
The main objective of this meetup is to unveil the hype from the reality of Microservices and discuss the pragmatic microservices architecture alongside API Managment, integration, security and analytics technologies.

Dominik Obermaier is CTO at dc-square, the MQTT company. He is the lead architect of the HiveMQ Enterprise MQTT Broker, which is used in the largest commercial IoT deployments in the world with multiple millions of connected devices. Dominik is the co-author of the book "The Technical Foundations of IoT" and is a technical expert for IoT protocols and highly scalable cloud software. He is a member of the OASIS Technical Committee and standardized MQTT 3.1.1 and MQTT 5.
