M365AdoptionUG - SharePoint Foundations to AI Agents: The Blackmores Journey
·OnlineOnline18 attendees from 7 groupsAI agents don't fail. Weak foundations do.
This session shares a real-world Blackmores case study on building an AI agent that calls on a brand-new SharePoint site, deliberately designed to be AI-ready from day one. While the outcome was an AI-powered agent, the primary effort focused on establishing strong SharePoint foundations before introducing AI.
Rather than retrofitting AI onto existing content, Blackmores took a foundations-first approach by creating a new SharePoint site with clear information architecture, content standards, ownership, permissions, and governance. The AI agent was then built to consume this trusted, well-structured source of information, enabling more accurate and reliable outcomes.
Attendees will learn:- Why AI agents depend on well-designed content
- How to design a SharePoint site specifically for AI use
- Key lessons on sequencing work and avoiding common pitfalls
This is an honest, practitioner-led view of the often overlooked but essential work required to make AI agents effective in an enterprise environment.
Don't forget, after our speakers session, hear about what's new to Microsoft 365 Features & Adoption (ACM).
Looking forward to seeing you there!
