Understanding AI Governance Standards, Frameworks & Regulations

As organizations move from experimenting with AI to deploying Copilots, AI applications, models, and autonomous agents at enterprise scale, understanding how to govern AI is becoming increasingly important. But with standards, frameworks, principles, regulations, and security guidance evolving rapidly, organizations often face a fundamental question: Which ones apply, how do they fit together, and how do we turn their requirements into practical controls?

Join us for Session 2 of the Enterprise AI Governance Webinar Series, where we’ll explore the major industry standards, frameworks, and regulations shaping Enterprise AI Governance and, more importantly, how organizations can translate their requirements into actionable governance and technical controls.
We’ll discuss ISO/IEC 42001, NIST AI Risk Management Framework (AI RMF), OECD AI Principles, the EU AI Act, Gartner AI TRiSM, Microsoft Responsible AI, OWASP and MITRE ATLAS, understand how these approaches complement one another, identify their common governance requirements, and explore how those requirements can be mapped to capabilities across the Microsoft ecosystem, including identity, security, data protection, compliance, AI platforms, monitoring, and audit.
