- Using Microsoft ML server for data science *
Microsoft’s ML Server can help you overcome in-memory restrictions of R and allow you to build and deploy models that can be used natively in SQL or accessible via a web service. This demo-packed session will take you through the end to end data science process using Microsoft ML Server so that you can see if it’s right for you.
Speaker: Steph Locke (twitter (https://twitter.com/SteffLocke) | website (https://itsalocke.com/))
About: Data Scientist, Locke Data
Steph is the founder of a consultancy in the UK. Her talks, blog posts, conferences, and business all have one thing in common – they help people get started with data science. Steph holds the Microsoft MVP award for her community contributions. In her spare time, Steph plays board games with her husband and takes copious pictures of her doggos.
- Introduction to reusing models across languages *
Now that more and more tools are becoming available to create machine learning models the need arises to share these between the different environments and programming languages. The last years a few standards were established to overcome this. In this session we will introduce the ones for Neural Networks: ONNX versus NNEF and place them in a broader perspective among general machine learning standards.
Speaker: Thierry Janssens (website (https://www.dataT.be))
Thierry has been working with machine learning on the Microsoft platform since late 2015 mostly working in R, Python and Azure Machine Learning Studio.
