Session - Azure Cloud Sp€nd: It's all about the money!

Today many companies are moving their on-premises applications and workloads to Azure. This shift upends their traditional IT economics. Azure brings those companies more flexibility, accessibility and makes them more agile, but that does not necessarily mean it's cheap. In this session, you will learn how you can optimise your Azure Cloud Sp€nd. You will not only learn about Azure Cost Management and Azure Advisor but also how Azure Reservations and the Azure Hybrid Use Benefit can help you reduce your Azure costs. Next, you will also learn about some design decisions that impact your costs and some tips you should keep in mind when you move your workloads to Azure.

Jake is an experienced Cloud Solutions Architect across Microsoft Azure, Hybrid Platforms, DevOps and Infrastructure as Code. He’s also a Microsoft Most Valuable Professional (MVP) for Azure, HashiCorp Ambassador, and Citrix CTA.

Session - Exploring the benefits of Azure Virtual WAN - A technical exploration and overview of Azure Virtual WAN. Within this session I will explore in detail the core features and services Azure Virtual WAN provides and go into the key benefits and use cases, as well as highlight how it can be used to create a powerful cloud-centric network.

As well as covering the above, I will dive into the various deployment methods and options and showcase how Azure Virtual WAN enables flexibility and rapid network expansion with ease. Security will also be a core focus, and I will discuss and showcase how services like Azure Firewall can be easily integrated into Azure Virtual WAN. Finally, run through a demonstration of the core aspects of Azure Virtual WAN, showing how it enables Cloud networking at scale with ease and high levels of security.
