Details

Think of security in layers, and the network layer is very important. You need to lock down the network with tools like security groups, Bastion, and Front Door. When, a bad-actor has to invest time and effort to break into network or gain access to resources if they break in the more likely they are to leave you alone.

Attacker on the internet use port scanning to discover that there is a public IP listening to this mng ports and then he could use brute force attack to your jump box, take control that VM and than establish foothold into your environment and perhaps have access other VM you have in azure. With JIT, you can lock down the inbound traffic to your VMs, reducing exposure to attacks while providing easy access to connect to VMs when needed.
To ensure network security, consider implementing Network Security Groups (NSG), Application Security Groups, Service Endpoints, Private Endpoints, Azure Application Gateway, Web Application Firewall, Azure Front Door, and ExpressRoute. These tools can help you lock down your network and make it more difficult for bad actors to gain access to your resources.
