**Vice President, Northeast US, Americas Enterprise**
Lydia Smyers is Vice President of the Americas Northeast Region for Microsoft. She oversees a team of 500+ Microsoft professionals, including account executives, technology strategists, and sales directors who deliver exceptional service to the largest 200 enterprises in the Northeast American region.

Lydia’s keen sense of curiosity and commitment to lifelong learning make her an energetic and dedicated leader. She thrives off empowering her workforce and customers to build solutions that move the needle – for legal professionals, sports fans, management consultants, and more.

Over the last decade at Microsoft, she held various roles, including Vice President of U.S. Education, where she helped academic institutions enhance student skills in collaboration, creativity, and critical thinking through Microsoft’s technology. These experiences strengthened Lydia’s passion for AI as a catalyst for innovation and social impact.

Before joining Microsoft, Lydia spent multiple years in senior roles at Oracle, Red Hat, and Ernst & Young.  Lydia holds an MBA from Duke University's Fuqua School of Business and a bachelor's degree in chemistry from Trinity College-Hartford.

Empowering the next generation of leaders and supporting her local community are key values for Lydia. She serves on the board of several community nonprofits in Massachusetts, where she lives with her husband and two sons. Finally, as an avid sports enthusiast, Lydia channels her competitive spirit into triathlons during the warmer months and embraces the thrill of alpine backcountry skiing in the winters.
