18:00 - Welcome & Group News - Simon will kick things off giving us a quick recap of any data news & updates from the community. We'll be discussing the future of the group without PASS (spoiler: business as usual) and can answer any questions/concerns you may have.

18:30 - Speaker: Stijn Wynants - Bringing your DBA skills to the Cloud
Stijn is a well known speaker from Belgium and an old friend of the group. Previously a Microsoft Data Platform MVP but now employed by Microsoft themselves, Stijn has a wealth of experience both as a DBA, a performance tuning expert, a data developer and cloud advocate, but he keeps on hearing the same message - "There's no need for a DBA in the cloud". If you've heard the same, then this is the session for you.

Stijn is going to be talking through some of the common resources in Azure platforms and how an on-premises DBA can bring their formidable skills to this new environment. Bring your questions, scenarios and conundrums to the session and we'll make some time to dig into them.
